Bayshore Christian Fellowship

Bayshore Christian Fellowship began on Easter Sunday in 1995, founded by Rev. Joseph S. Ruggerio after years of leading a home Bible study for seniors. Soon after, Pastor Michael Shahid joined him in the work and later became senior pastor when Pastor Joe followed God’s call to missions in 2001. Over the years, our church has gathered in various locations throughout Keyport and Matawan—partnering with other churches, meeting in banquet halls, and even worshiping under a tent during the COVID‑19 season. Through every transition, God has been faithful. In 2025, after 29 years of ministry, Pastor Mike relocated to Tennessee. The church partnered with the NJ District of the Assemblies of God and welcomed Rev. Jacob Luckhart as Interim Pastor. In June 2026, Jacob was elected as our long‑term pastor. Today, we remain a Spirit‑filled church in a season of renewal, committed to worship, outreach, relationships, and the Kingdom.
